Addie’s Story

Addie was diagnosed in the summer of 2018 with a form of clear cell sarcoma. After two surgeries and more than 30 radiation treatments at Rainbow Babies in Cleveland, she was considered cancer-free in April 2019. The following year in May 2020 the cancer returned. For the next 7 months we traveled to Cincinnati Children's Hospital to participate in a clinical trial. Unfortunately the treatments were unsuccessful and we lost Addie on December 28, 2020.

Our Mission

Since 2021, we have held multiple events and fundraisers through the community to raise money for a scholarship honoring Addie’s legacy. We award our scholarship to Mineral Ridge High School seniors in May of each year. In the future, our aim is to support children battling cancer by assembling gift bags delivered directly to their hospital rooms—spreading light like Addie always did.
